Advertising
This site uses Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service.
Third-party vendors such as Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to this site or to other sites. These are called personalised ads, and they are used to show advertising that matches your interests.
You can turn personalised ads off in Google's ad settings. aboutads.info also explains how to opt out of cookies used by third-party vendors.
For more on how cookies are used, please also see Advertising – Policies & Terms – Google.
Analytics
To understand how the site is used, we use Google Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase). It collects anonymous statistics such as which pages were viewed, which games were played, the approximate region, and the type of device and browser in use. It is not configured to collect information that identifies you personally, such as your name or address.
We use what is collected only to learn which games are being played and to improve the site.
What the games store
Stored on your device
Game settings, best times, the squads you have built and similar data are saved in your browser's localStorage. They stay on your own device, and the people who run this site cannot read them. Clearing site data in your browser erases them as well. What is stored is:
- Your display language (Japanese / English)
- Your sound settings
- In-game data such as best times, squad data and player names
Sent for the online ranking
Only if you use the online ranking in Stacked Formula, the following is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore).
- The player name you set in the game (“Player” by default)
- Your clear time, together with the level and number of problems it applies to
- An anonymous ID that identifies the device (issued automatically by Firebase anonymous authentication; it is not linked to a name or an email address)
Player names are shown publicly in the ranking, so please avoid entering your real name or anything else you would rather not share. You can change your player name at any time from the game's settings screen.
In online matches of Strategists' War, a room code and a display name are stored temporarily so that opponents can find each other. The match itself is communicated directly between the players' browsers.
Linking a Google account
In Stacked Formula you may optionally link a Google account so that your records carry over between devices. The link is used only to associate your records; we do not send email or collect contact details. Linking happens only when you choose to do it, and every game is fully playable without it.
The contact form
Our contact form is a Google Form. What you send is processed on Google's servers, and the people who run this site use it only to read your message and improve the site. It is not used for any other purpose and is not provided to third parties. Please note that we do not reply to messages individually.
